Well, it’s not a philosophy class, in case you’re worried about that. Existential therapy assumes that being a human is inherently disorienting – we have to create our own meaning, make terrifying choices and navigate isolation. Instead of trying to ‘fix’ you or make you conform to conventional societal scripts, we examine how you relate to freedom, responsibility, time and change. Our work focuses on exploring your lived experience and helping you live more authentically on your own terms.

We are all made of stories: the ones society hands us, the ones our families wrote for us and the ones we tell ourselves to survive.
Narrative deconstruction is the process of taking those stories apart to see if they actually still serve you or if they're adding unnecessary weight to your life.
Parts work recognizes that you aren’t just one monolithic self; you are a collection of different internal voices (the fierce protector, the anxious perfectionist, the inner child). We invite all of them to the hearth, give them space to speak up and try to understand how they've been trying to help.
-
Absolutely not. In fact, please bring them in.
As an existentialist, historian and practising witch, I view tarot, witchcraft, astrology and animism as rich, symbolic languages. They are deeply valid frameworks for making meaning and understanding your inner world.
If pulling a card helps you articulate a feeling that words can’t, or if ritual is how you ground yourself in a chaotic world, that is vital material for our work together. You don’t have to minimise the role these practices play in your life.

The view that appears on your screen is cosy (complete with a space heater that looks like a little woodstove), and I hope that lends some warmth to the virtual medium.
However . . . the actual work of facing your anxieties, dismantling old patterns and claiming your freedom? That part is not exactly gentle. After some planning, we will eventually head into the darker thickets of your lived experience.
I can’t promise it will be easy, but I can promise that I'll be with you and that you have full control over where we choose to explore.

In dyadic sessions, we use emotionally focused couples/family therapy (EFC/FT) as our guide through the unique – sometimes chaotic – world you have built together. We might start with who does the dishes or makes the plans, but our shared goal is to go deeper to identify the existential and relational fears beneath the conflict, like losing your anchor or feeling unseen.
Balancing our independence or individuality with the need to belong in the world is a lifelong existential challenge. Getting our attachment needs met is an important part of finding that balance, so once we untangle the rigid communication patterns keeping you stuck, we continue working on building more secure bonds so you can both feel confident, deeply understood, and free within the relationship.

I recommend meeting weekly to start, typically for the first four to six weeks to build momentum and establish a strong foundation. That said, weekly sessions sometimes just don’t make sense when we look at our schedules and budgets, so starting out biweekly might be appropriate if you’re not currently seeking support for acute distress.
Whatever we agree on to start, nothing is ever set in stone, and we can revisit the rhythm of our sessions at any time to discuss whether meeting more or less frequently makes sense.
Eventually, you might want to space things out even more, and I'm happy to facilitate ad hoc check-in sessions with long-term clients.

I prioritise scheduling around consistent, recurring sessions. Nature, humans and, yes, even therapy, thrive on rhythm. Having a dedicated, predictable anchor in your schedule means you always know your spot at the hearth is reserved, and it allows both of us to plan our energy and focus around it.
As someone with ADHD, I recognise the love/hate relationship with routine, and sometimes we have to navigate things like shift work, so ‘regular’ might look different for you. If you prefer to schedule ad hoc sessions yourself, please note that available times will fluctuate from week to week.
-
My practice is entirely virtual, which means you can join from the comfort of your own space. I’ll send you a secure video link ahead of each session. All you need to bring is a reliable internet connection, a mug of tea and anything that helps you feel comfortable while doing experiential work.

Yes. I can provide direct billing for a selection of insurance providers. For all other plans, I issue detailed receipts that you can submit directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

I have a strict 24-hour cancellation and booking policy, which is outlined in full detail during the booking and intake processes.
Beyond the standard professional boundary, this window is an intentional ADHD accommodation I need to avoid the disruption of waking up to a completely different schedule than the one I thought I had when I went to bed. Respecting this boundary ensures I can show up fully grounded and ready for our work together.
